Hello! I am a sociologist of education at the University of Bristol.
Over a number of years I have been examining the politics of education reform in the Indian and Australian contexts as well as the global governance of childhood and the family.
Underlying this work has been an abiding interest in the politics of knowledge. This led me to explore the contested ‘science’ of education in international development, as well as the active erasures of racism and coloniality in the field of education.
Ongoing questions about the relationship between epistemic justice and racial justice in education sustain my current thinking, which you can read more about on this site.
